Rainbow Six Siege Power Rankings, December 9th

Following last weekend’s Six Invitational ANZ Qualifier, we are back with our latest edition of  Rainbow Six: Siege power rankings to solidify the top ten teams in the region coming into next season.

With that being said, please welcome back our Rainbow Six: Siege panelists,

1.) Wildcard Gaming (-)

“Wildcard are at the height of their power in Rainbow Six. They have finally broken through an APAC Pro League Finals for the first time and pushed eventual Pro League Champions, NaVi, to a grueling three map series, only to lose by a single round in overtime. Wildcard stormed the gates in their first international tournament, and with the financials and support of an organisation behind them - they set their sights on the Six Invitational.”

- James “Devmarta” Stewart

Recent Results:

  • 1:2 vs NaVi (PL Finals)
  • 2:1 vs Xavier (PL APAC)
  • 2:0 vs Cyclops (PL APAC)

Active Roster: Ethan, Derpeh, NeophyteR, Diesel and EmoRin

2.) FNATIC (-)

“After the most heartbreaking period of failure in FNATIC’s history - with early exits from the Raleigh Major and APAC Pro League Season X Finals - FNATIC are finally redeeming themselves. Rejuvenated with the additions of MentalistC (formerly Aerowolf, 3rd/4th Season X Finals) and Tex (formerly SiNister, 6th ANZ Pro League Season X) the kings of APAC Siege asserted their dominance over ANZ with a flawless run through the Six Invitational ANZ Qualifier. With fresh faces and a renewed hunger for success, FNATIC turn their eyes to the Six Invitational APAC Qualifier in January, where they hope to earn a spot for the fourth time at a Six Invitational.”

- James “Devmarta” Stewart

Recent Results:

  • 2:0 vs Fury (SI Qual)
  • 2:0 vs Vanquish (SI Qual)
  • 2:0 vs HomeLess (SI Qual)

Active Roster: Magnet, Tex, MentalistC, Lusty and Virtue

3.) Oddity Esports (-)

“After a less than ideal end to Season 10 of Pro League due to falling short of APAC Finals by two points and a heartbreaking final series versus Fury, Oddity have been close yet far from success. Recent departure of coach Raven and the departures of Vinnie and Todd has lead to young guns Dgtl and Giovanni being acquired; both previously from Extricity, who were one of the strongest U18 teams before they disbanded. Oddity competed over the weekend in the SI Qualifier and managed to overcome HomeLess in a three map series. But sadly due to personal circumstances, they had to forfeit all other matches. I’m excited to see if these changes can finally grant Oddity a top two spot.”

- Alex “Skye” McCallum

Recent Results:

  • 2:1 vs HomeLess (SI Qual)
  • 2:0 vs Mindfreak (SI Qual)

Active Roster: Vast, Legion, Redolent, Dgtl and Giovanni

4.) HomeLess (new)

“HomeLess is one of the most exciting up and coming teams within the ANZ region. After qualifying for the S11 Pro League, this roster has not slowed down; claiming first place in the Six Invitational ANZ Open Qualifier and second place in the Closed Qualifier. They have proved they are a force to be reckoned with, and to think they did this with their sub Juicy should be a warning to their competitors. Recent acquisitions of Pikniq and Dewolf, coach and analyst respectively, has strengthened the team's strategic ability. I can’t wait to see them compete next season.”

- Alex “Skye” McCallum

Recent Results:

  • 2:0 vs Mindfreak (SI Qual)
  • 1:2 vs Oddity (SI Qual)
  • 2:0 vs Fury (SI Qual)

Active Roster: Stigs, Hayward, Dino, Stryder and Arlo

5.) Fury (-)

“Going into the Invitational Qualifiers, not a lot of people expected to see Fury get pretty far. Although the changes in a few approaches to their site holds and general coordination seemed to have done the job, as the team had managed to stay afloat for a while, albeit mostly in the lower bracket until they fell to HomeLess.”

- Konstantin “Cthulhu” Nurdizhanyan

Recent Results:

  • 2:1 vs SiNister (SI Qual)
  • 2:0 vs Mindfreak (SI Qual)

Active Roster: Warden, Shade, Muesli, Rock and Flvcko

6.) Mindfreak (-2)

“With Mindfreak finishing the last season of Pro League in fourth place, a lot of people expected to see Mindfreak push into the semifinals of the Six Invitational Qualifier. Unfortunately, that was not the case, as Mindfreak ended up being first rounded into the lower bracket and then ultimately lost to Fury to be eliminated.”

- Konstantin “Cthulhu” Nurdizhanyan

Recent Results:

  • 4th Pro League Season 10

Active Roster: JackDaddy, Cutie, Shak, ItBeStyle and TBD

7.) Team SiNister (-1)

“With the fact that SiNister had to make last moment roster moves and didn’t get as much time with the newer players, the team ended up cutting their run in the Six Invitiational Qualifiers very short; falling to Fury in the upper bracket, and then losing in the first round of the lower bracket to Vanquish. It will be interesting to see how they shape up come Season 11 of the Pro League.”

- Konstantin “Cthulhu” Nurdizhanyan

Recent Results:

  • 1:2 vs Fury (SI Qual)
  • 6th Pro League Season 10

Active Roster:  Loona, Fishoguy, Nikoh, Vinnie and Milostka

8.) Rhythm (new)

“A series of solid performances during the Challenger League season sees this squad promoted to Pro League. I’m excited to see what this squad can do when the season commences, and see if they can push for a top spot in the power rankings.”

- Samuel “Monkeyfist” Royals

Recent Results:

  • 1:1 vs HomeLess (CL)
  • 2:0 vs RMA (CL)
  • 1:1 vs CryptiK (CL)

Active Roster: Wayneman, Unitdoggy, Thumbnail, Lebb & Werdyy

9.) Team CryptiK (-1)

“A fairly disappointing performance in the Challenger League for CriptiK saw them just miss out on making Pro League. They were still in with a shot to make it until the final day, as long as results were able to go in their favour; but that wasn’t the case. We’ll have to wait and see what’s next for them.”

- Samuel “Monkeyfist” Royals

Recent Results:

  • 1:1 vs Rhythm (CL)

Active Roster: Striking, Sirrom, Jamx, Hotshot & Sushi

10.) Read My Aggression (new)

“A poor start to Challenger League saw the Read My Aggression squad struggling to be in with a shot to make it to the top. In the final weeks they started to put results up on the board, but ultimately it was a little too late for the team.”

- Samuel “Monkeyfist” Royals

Recent Results:

  • 0:2 vs Oddity (SI Qual)
  • 1:1 vs HomeLess (CL)
