The Chiefs Esports Club have expanded their partnership group for 2020, welcoming food delivery service Menulog as a major partner going forward this year. The aim of the partnership will be to help support local restaurants in Australia whilst also providing meals to The Chiefs, from players to content creators.

Chiefs CEO Nick Bobir outlined the connection between the Menulog service and esports as a whole. “Menulog is a great partner to work with and a natural fit for gaming and esports. They see the strong affinity with our industry's culture and we couldn’t be happier to announce them as our official Food Delivery Service partner.”

“It’s convenient, contact-free and helps support The Chiefs and local restaurants,” concluded Nick

Simon Cheng, Menulog’s Marketing Director, added “esports and Menulog is a match made in heaven. Esports has an incredibly exciting and ever-evolving industry, just like the food delivery space.”

“We’re excited to announce our sponsorship with The Chiefs and are looking forward to building a long-term partnership, supporting both local talent and local restaurants,” finished Simon.

The Australian delivery service’s sponsorship is the first of its kind for the Oceanic esports scene, with planned projects allowing connections between The Chiefs and Menulog’s 2.6 million active customers, as well as close to 19,000 restaurants nationwide.

Menulog joins a number of high profile partners at The Chiefs for 2020. The esports organisation linked with Bond University in February in an effort to expand understanding of esports at a tertiary level, and develop pathways within the scene. Peripheral and computer monitor companies HyperX and AOC joined Chiefs in March and May, respectively.

Also announced in February was a sponsorship with Marvel through Walt Disney Studios Australia – a move that will see the Disney giant integrate with The Chiefs ‘to combine gaming, esports and pop culture into an authentic and unique experience for all’.

Included is the development of co-branded merchandise between Marvel and The Chiefs that will enable both brands to continue widening their influence both within the Oceanic region and beyond.
